Migraine and Neurospasticity Intervention
Migraine management and intervention can be a complex journey. Identifying food and environmental triggers, identification of migraine type, pharmacological management with a new generation of highly effective medications and/or botulinum injections are all part of our comprehensive care program for migraine sufferers.

Neurospasticity or muscle dystonia occurs when muscles do not respond as they should resulting in stiff, contracting or rigid muscles. Conditions that are at high risk for neurospasticity include stroke, cerebral palsy, head or spine injury, and sometimes the cause is unknown. Muscle dystonia can also be a contributing factor in migraine patients. Utilizing botulinum injections is an effective treatment allowing the muscles to relax which can decrease pain and increase mobility.

Madeline Stewart is Family Nurse Practitioner with 3 years of training/mentorship in migraine and muscle spasm management. Her migraine treatment paradigm embraces a multi-faceted approach of identifying food and environmental triggers, nutritional deficiencies and utilizes proven pharmaceutical options alone or in conjunction with FDA approved botulinum toxin-A injections. Primary treatment for muscle spasm management also include therapeutic use of FDA approved botulinum toxins for spasm relief. Born and raised in Idaho, Maddie is a wife, mother, avid reader and lover of all things outdoors in beautiful North Idaho.
